Birthday Card.
My first attempt at this sort of crafting, Totally flat and stamped. (I'm sure the slot in the Post Office is on a diet cos it gets thinner every time I go) .
Not that sure I like it, but happy enough with it to post.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks for looking.
Hi Mags, I love the butterfly and the card base, one criticism, well two actually lol! I think the green is a bit bold and I'm not a great fan of peel offs! The green may look better if you mat it onto a lighter coordinating card or just cut the butterfly out and mat it onto a lighter colour, maybe something similar to the colours on the background! Sorry Mags! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's fine Mags, but I agree with Zoe about the green being a bit too bold. Maybe you could've cut the topper in white and ran it through an embossing folder to give it some interest. The background flowers could've been heat embossed too, this would have still kept it flat enough for the post xx (ask Joan my opinion of peel-offs) haha.. A great first attempt at 'flat crafting' though xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Zoe and Barbara, I don't mind critical at all. It adds to the learning curve.
ReplyDeleteGood tips from Zoe & Barbara, That's how we all learn Sweetie, I'm now a follower, would you like to follow me, i would appreciate it x Happy Crafting x
ReplyDeleteA lovely design but I do agree with Barbara and Zoe abou the green being to bold. But a great first attempt at flat crafting hun.

What I also meant to add was that if you run a topper through an EF, you can then gently run an ink pad over the top, to bring out the design xx
ReplyDeleteNothing to add to what has already been suggested, a great first attempt x
ReplyDeleteLike Jane - nothing to add but a good first attempt - keep at it!!

A good effort Margaret. As soon as I saw the peel offs. I knew Barbara wouldn't be able to keep her mouth shut. lol She hates them with a vengeance. But I just ignore her anyway xxx
